Country information

Italy is home to many lakes, but one stands out above the rest – Lake Garda.
Located in northern Italy, just 30 km from Verona, it is the country’s largest lake and boasts a unique climate along with endless opportunities for sports, culture, and entertainment.
Here, you’ll find snow-capped hills, majestic mountain peaks, sunny valleys, ancient towns, and charming little islands.
In the north, the lake stretches to the foothills of the Dolomites. The southern part is flatter, dotted with olive and citrus groves, as well as countless beaches and coves.
And of course, no visit would be complete without indulging in renowned Italian cuisine, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, and meeting the famously passionate locals.

Summer at Lake Garda is warm to hot, while winter temperatures rarely drop below freezing.
The first signs of summer often arrive as early as April, with temperatures reaching at least 25°C. However, April and May can also bring heavy rain and thunderstorms.
During the summer months, temperatures typically range between 25°C and 30°C, and the lake water becomes pleasantly warm.
In the northern part of the lake, such as Riva del Garda, winds are more frequent, making the climate slightly cooler and fresher.

Lake Garda is approximately a 9-hour drive from the Czech Republic, including rest stops.
There are several possible routes depending on your departure point.
One of the most common options from Prague (approx. 803 km) is to head toward Rozvadov, then travel through Germany via Munich, continue past Salzburg and Innsbruck, and enter Italy via the Brenner Pass.
From there, take the Italian motorway and exit at Rovereto Sud if you’re heading to the northern part of the lake, or Affifor the southern shores of Lake Garda.

Flights, transfers, accommodation, excursions and travel insurance are not part of the wedding package. We will arrange these services for you, tailored to your wishes (departure date, length of stay, departure airport, airline, category and standard of hotel, type of board, transfers, etc.)…
