Wedding at Kalithea Springs

Kallithea Springs is situated between Kallithea and Faliraki. It is a beautiful landmark with wonderful flowering gardens and a wonderful view of the sea. The ceremony takes place overlooking the sea, yet at the same time you and your guests are shielded from the warm Greek sun, which makes the wedding a pleasant experience.

You can decide to hold your ceremony at Kallithea Springs and then move to another venue for dinner and the party. If you prefer everything in one place, Kallithea Springs also offers the option of a wedding dinner.

Wedding on Kathara beach

Kathara beach means “clean” in Greek, which is especially true of the calm, azure sea. It is a 300 m long sandy beach in the south of Faliraki, sheltered by a rocky bay. It adjoins the long sandy beach of Faliraki, from which it is separated by a small harbour. Kathara beach does not get crowded even in the height of the tourist season.

Country information

In autumn, temperatures range between 25–27°C, and swimming is possible without any problems even into November. The coldest months are January and February. Even then, temperatures remain above freezing, usually around 10°C. Apart from the mountainous areas, where a little snow may occasionally fall, frost is a rarity on Rhodes.

Rhodes is easily accessible by air, with a flight time of approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes from Prague. The air distance between Prague and Rhodes is about 2,150 km. The island has a well-organized local bus system, and in the evenings, taxis are commonly used for transport to and from the capital. You can also rent a car, motorcycle, or bicycle to explore the island at your own pace.

From mid-May to mid-October, rainfall is rare — summers are sunny, warm, and dry. From early spring to late autumn, the days are mostly clear and free from bad weather. Although Rhodes has some of the highest average temperatures in Greece, fresh sea breezes and the Meltemi wind make the heat much more bearable, even during peak holiday season. However, during windless days, the heat can feel intense. On the west coast, temperatures often exceed 30°C, while on the east coast, they can surpass 40°C. Thankfully, the low humidity keeps the temperatures more tolerable. At night, temperatures drop to around 20–30°C.

In autumn, temperatures range around 25–27°C, and swimming is still possible without any problems until November. The coldest period is January and February.
