Zanzibar is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean located east of the coast of Tanzania, consisting of the islands Unguja and Pemba and about 50 smaller islets.

The official language on Zanzibar is Swahili. In tourist areas, English is also widely spoken.

Beaches lined with palm groves are famous for their white sand and mostly have gentle entries into the sea. You will find calm bays and lagoons as well as spots with powerful waves.

Zanzibar is known for its spices, thanks to the cultivation and processing of cloves, turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemongrass, and black pepper.

Traditional values, warm people, and rich history make this destination a perfect place for your wedding or honeymoon.

The flight from Europe takes approximately 10 hours.

The climate is more humid than on the mainland. A long dry season from June to October brings blue skies and beautiful sunny weather. The “green” season starts at the end of March / beginning of April and lasts until the end of May. Short “rains” occur during November and December, representing a period of renewal for nature. A second, short dry season occurs in January and February. Temperatures range from 26 to 32°C between September and April, and from 25 to 28°C from May to August.
