The wedding ceremony took place on the Greek island of Santorini – St. Irene.
The newlyweds wrote to us:
A wedding abroad had always been my dream; I just did not know how to organise it. But then a friend who had her wedding on Zakynthos gave me the contact for Martina’s agency. Martina and I got in touch and, according to our ideas and the possibilities, she gave us a choice of several locations, from which we finally chose Greece, specifically the beautiful island of Santorini.
Following the instructions we put together the necessary documents, chose our wedding package (bouquet, hair, photographer, video, …) and could simply look forward to it, since with that all the worries connected with organising the wedding were over for us. The only important thing was not to forget to pack the wedding dress and the rings in the suitcase 🙂
We flew to Santorini together with our almost two-year-old daughter and spent a beautiful 10 days there. We had the wedding planned for Friday 18 May 2018 at 4.30 pm. The day before, we had the pre-wedding meeting with the coordinator Květa and her partner Michalis, who were to organise the wedding for us and also act as our witnesses. We agreed everything necessary and the very next day we visited the office in Fira, where we signed the documents required for the wedding. At 2 pm the hairdresser came to our room and managed to create an absolutely magnificent hairstyle for me, and then we started getting ready to leave for the wedding venue. For comfort we only changed at the venue and waited for the celebrant. In the meantime we managed a few photographs, and then came the ceremony itself, at which we said our long-dreamt-of “ne” (which is Greek for yes ;-)), toasted with the celebrant and the witnesses, danced our first dance, and then we continued with the photographs. After about an hour it was all over 🙂
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Martina and also Květa and Michalis very much for the wonderful organisation of our wedding. Everything was perfect and just as we had imagined!
