Ravello, a picturesque town on the Amalfi Coast in the Campania region, is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Ravello is a charming hilltop town with just 2,500 inhabitants, perched high above the sea, offering breathtaking views and a unique scenic setting. This medieval town, sitting at an elevation of approximately 365 meters, is known for its narrow alleys with steep stairways, beautiful squares, and a cathedral from 1087.

Thanks to its stunning beauty, Ravello has long been a beloved retreat and a source of inspiration for some of the world’s greatest artists across various disciplines.

Naples is best reached by plane. Amalfi is only about 1.5 hours away by train, bus or car from Naples. Amalfi has excellent ferry connections to and from Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno, and Positano, running several times a day.

If you prefer peace and quiet, visit the Amalfi Coast outside the peak season (July–August), ideally in June or early September.The weather is still wonderfully sunny, and the sea—especially in September—is pleasantly warm and won’t disappoint.
