The Hawaiian Islands – the Pearl of the Pacific – are located in the Pacific Ocean, southeast of Japan and northeast of Australia. They are the 50th state of the USA. They are 3,800 km away from the coast of California. The capital city, Honolulu, is located on the island of Oahu. The archipelago consists of 132 volcanic islands in a 2,400-kilometer chain, with the most important being the eight main islands: Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Niihau, Lanai, and Kahoolawe.

You can travel to Hawaii by plane, the flight time from Prague is approximately 23 hours.

The weather in Hawaii is pleasant all year round. In summer, it is stable, with daytime temperatures around 33°C and nighttime temperatures around 22°C. In winter, it drops about five degrees compared to summer.

For citizens of the Czech and Slovak Republics, a visa or ESTA is required to enter Hawaii.
