You can travel to Cyprus by plane, flight time from Prague: approximately 3.5 hours.

Climate in Cyprus is subtropical. Summers are very hot and dry, while winters bring periods of rainfall. Throughout the year, Cyprus receives only about 300–400 mm of precipitation on average. The island boasts mostly sunny days for the majority of the year. Average summer temperatures range from 22 to 40 °C, depending on the altitude of the location. People visit Cyprus either for its historic sites or for its beautiful sea.

If you’re visiting Cyprus primarily for its historical sites, the best months to go are May, early June, September, or October. Cyprus is a sunny destination, so rain is rare. Only in the Troodos Mountains can you find snow in winter, and there are even ski slopes open during that season.

If, however, you’re heading to the island mainly for the sun, warmth, and water activities, plan your trip during the peak season in July and August, when daytime temperatures reach 40–45°C and the sea temperature averages around 28°C. Nighttime temperatures rarely drop below 20–25°C.

Vaccinations — No vaccinations are required for Cyprus.

Cyprus is in the GMT +2 time zone. It is one hour ahead of the Czech Republic year-round, as both countries observe daylight saving time simultaneously.
