Lucka and Petr had a magnificent wedding in Italy by Lake Lago di Braies.

How to begin?
We planned the wedding for a really long time, but I kept failing to reconcile our wishes with what is usually done at a wedding. Or to put it another way – I knew what I did not want, but I could not work out what I really did want. But when I saw photos from abroad on the internet, my heart always leapt with joy. My reason, however, immediately explained to me clearly that this was not for me. What I wanted above all was a wedding in calm, without stress, and this would certainly have meant a great deal of extra worry. On top of that it would be terribly expensive and it simply would not be possible.
But then I found out that a wedding does not have to be only on a beach, but that it is possible in the mountains too. And what is more, at a place I fell completely in love with on holiday last year – Lago di Braies. So I agreed with my partner that I would just send a non-committal e-mail to find out how it even works. And the result? After 8 years since the engagement, 2 of them spent intensively devising a conventional wedding, in the end two phone calls and a few e-mails were enough – and that was that. In 2 months everything was arranged and suddenly we were sitting in the car driving to Italy.
The hardest thing was to let go of the ideas about what a proper wedding should actually look like, and to accept the responsibility for doing it our own way. We allowed ourselves to have the wedding of our dreams. A wedding as we imagined it. It was perfect. Not only in the photos – we really did enjoy it, and that was the most important thing for me. A small, relaxed wedding, just the two of us and the children. Only what we really wanted, nothing we would have to force ourselves into.
One fairy tale says: “It cannot be told, it has to be seen.” That is how it is. I enjoyed the whole day, I felt superb and relaxed and I had a feeling of complete singularity.
Martina guided us through the preparations, and on location a kind coordinator looked after us. Both of them wonderful professionals who, thanks to their experience, stay calm the whole time and unobtrusively make sure everything runs as it should. It is precisely thanks to that that we could enjoy our day without worries and in complete ease.
